The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC) held an online lecture, titled "Role of Women in Societies’ Prosperity", presented by Edlira Durmishaj, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Peace Association, Albania, within the Council's series of lectures.
During the lecture, Durmishaj highlighted the significant contribution of women to the development and growth of societies, emphasising that women hold an esteemed position in the Holy Quran and play a vital role in fostering community dialogue and nurturing future generations.
Durmishaj also pointed out that “women are instrumental in passing on societal values to children,” stressing the need for relationships between men and women to be rooted in equality and collaboration for society to thrive.
She further emphasised that a Muslim identity is founded on shared values, open dialogue, diversity, and the rejection of racial discrimination, noting that women’s roles have been secure and inspiring throughout history, standing as essential drivers of change and knowledge.
Additionally, she called for embracing diverse values and collaborating to strengthen social dialogue and human dignity.
