TWMCC Holds a Panel Discussion at KLIBF 2024

The World Muslim Communities Council held a panel discussion at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) presented by Dr. Khairudin Aljunied, Professor of Islamic and Intellectual History of Southeast Asia, and Dr Aishath Muneeza, Chairwoman, Maldives Center for Islamic Finance
During the panel discussion, Dr. Khairudin Aljunied talked about Islamic civilisation and knowledge, and the importance of obtaining useful knowledge, considering that the current challenge lies in morals, principles, and human values, not in knowledge, because of its abundance
Dr Aishath Muneeza talked about the Islamic aspect of banking, and the main reasons for its establishment, demonstrating this with some examples of the importance of Islamic banks in the renaissance of societies and helping individuals from different segments of community. Dr Aishath also touched on the issue of technology and harnessing it in development processes
Dr Aishath Muneeza praised the efforts of TWMCC in spreading and promoting the values of peaceful coexistence, and achieving positive intellectual and cultural change in Muslim communities in various countries of the world, in addition to protecting Muslim communities from the danger of extremist religious thought
