TWMCC Holds "Multifaith Relationships and Civilisation-Building in Muslim States and Societies" Online Lecture

The World Muslim Communities Council held an online Ramadan lecture, titled "Multifaith Relationships and Civilisation-Building in Muslim States and Societies", presented by Professor Arshad Islam, International Islamic University Malaysia, within the Council’s Ramadan lectures series.
During the lecture, Professor Islam said that the inclusive nature of Islam facilitated its spread across various nations, including India, where numerous individuals have converted to Islam.
Furthermore, he affirmed Islam's emphasis on coexistence and the principles of tolerance within society, which have benefitted diverse segments of society and inspired their involvement.
Furthermore, he underscored the significant contribution of Muslim scholars in advancing Indian civilisation.
Highlighting the teachings of Islam that promote collaboration and coexistence, Professor Islam expressed confidence that any disparities in India could be resolved.
Additionally, he stressed the importance of justice for all individuals, noting its role in mitigating conflicts in India, alongside other values such as coexistence, tolerance, and integration.
