TWMCC Holds “History and Storytelling: Creating Compelling Settings and Characters from The Muslim World” Online Lecture

The World Muslim Communities Council held an online Ramadan lecture, titled “History and Storytelling: Creating Compelling Settings and Characters from The Muslim World”, presented by Rehan Khan, Historical Fiction and Fantasy Novelist, within the Council’s Ramadan lectures series.


During the lecture, Khan said that the various narratives from history instill optimism for what lies ahead, emphasising the importance of embracing the richness of cultures’ diversity around the globe.


In addition, he affirmed that architecture and design serve as conduits for spiritual enlightenment, which remind us of the divine presence and creativity.


Furthermore, he underscored Muslims’ pivotal role in narrating tales imbued with relevance, aligning with their faith, values, and upbringing.


Concluding, Khan noted that recounting history enables us to make informed and equitable judgments about others.
