The World Muslim Communities Council organised an online Ramadan lecture titled "Sacred Months and Pillars of Islam and Their Relationship to World Peace." The lecture was delivered by Sheikh Dr. Abdul Hamid Metwally, President of the Supreme Council of Imams and Islamic Affairs in Brazil.

Sheikh Dr. Metwally emphasized the sanctity of the four holy months designated by Allah. He underscored the importance of upholding peace during these months as a sign of reverence and a cornerstone of global peace.

The Sheikh stressed the distinction between the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, and harmful cultural practices. He refuted the notion that enmity and hatred are part of Islam, instead advocating for mercy, morality, and the five pillars of Islam as the true path.

Sheikh Dr. Metwally highlighted Islam's message of peace, emphasizing its consistency throughout history from Prophet Adam to Prophet Muhammad. He explained that the sacred months and the five pillars serve as a guide for Muslims to be ambassadors for peace.

The Sheikh concluded by urging against injustice in the name of religion. He emphasized that true service to God lies in respecting the rights of others.

The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC) is an international non-governmental organization that functions as a think tank. It supports Muslim community organizations and associations by helping them improve their operations, collaborate effectively, and adopt innovative approaches.
