TWMCC Chairman Meets Albania’s Grand Mufti

HE Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, chairman of The World Muslim Communities Council, met today in Abu Dhabi, Bujar Spahiu, the Grand Mufti of Albania, currently visiting the UAE capital.

 

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the mechanisms for enhancing joint cooperation for the benefit of Muslim communities, reviewing issues of coexistence, and emphasising the principles of the national state, citizenship and integration, as well as the concepts of religious, ethnic and cultural pluralism, to achieve cooperation and solidarity for the benefit of the whole world

 

The meeting also addressed ways to formulate scientific, academic and rehabilitation programmes to confront extremist ideologies and isolationism, through hard work to reach contemporary jurisprudence within the tolerant Islamic Sharia, in line with the conditions of Muslim societies in the countries in which they live, and striving to enhance the positive role of Muslims worldwide

 

The TWMCC is an international non-governmental organization that was established on 8 May 2018 in Abu Dhabi. It includes more than 900 Islamic organizations and institutions from 142 countries. It is a think tank for helping organisations and associations operating in Muslim communities, renewing their thinking, improving their performance, and coordinating their joint work
