As part of the daily Ramadan episodes, The World Muslim Communities Council organized, on Thursday, April 28, 2022, a virtual episode entitled "Ramadan and Purity of Soul", during which Sheikh Dr. Salim Alwan, Secretary-General of Dar Al-Fatwa Australia, spoke via the Council's social media pages.

Sheikh Dr. Salim Alwan said that Whoever fasts the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith and in pursuit of Allah's pleasure, will have his previous sins forgiven, as Allah Almighty said "All the deeds of people are for them, except fasting which is for Allah, and He will give the reward for it". He pointed out that the breath of one observing Saum is better smelling to Allah than the fragrance of musk, and that the fasting person has two joyous occasions, one at the time of breaking his fast, and the other at the time of meeting Allah.

Alwan added that Allah rewards the fasting person with a great reward, so we have to maintain our fast in accordance with the conditions of fasting that Allah set, which is that there is no obscenity, no immorality, no quarrels or slander, so that our fasting is valid and accepted by Allah.

The Secretary-General of Dar Al-Fatwa in Australia indicated that Allah frees people from Hellfire every night of Ramadan, as the gates of Hell are closed and the gates of Paradise are opened, so we must take advantage of these great opportunities, and strive as much as possible, to be among the freedmen of Ramadan and win Paradise.
