Sheikh Dr. Fayed Mohamed Saeed: Qur’an is Connect us to Allah
- 2022-Apr-23
As part of the daily Ramadan episodes, The World Muslim Communities Council organized, on Thursday, April 21, 2022, a virtual episode entitled "Story of Gabriel and the Messenger ﷺ in Ramadan," during which Sheikh Dr. Fayed Mohamed Saeed, a British imam and preacher, spoke via the Council's social media pages.
Sheikh Dr. Fayed said that the Noble Qur’an is a rope that connects us to Allah, and that the imams stop in Ramadan for anything except reciting the Noble Qur’an, indicating that Aisha, may God be pleased with her, said that the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, had the morals of the Qur’an.
Saeed added that our relationship with the Qur’an must be permanent, but during Ramadan it must be greater, for the Messenger was either a reader of the Qur’an, an implementer of the Qur’an or a listener of the Qur’an. Saeed said that our master Gabriel, peace be upon him, used to come down to the Messenger and discuss in the Qur’an, and that he did so twice in the year of the death of the Holy Prophet.
He added that Allah sent the Messenger to humanity as a mercy, and that the Messenger tried as much as possible to ease the Muslims. Saeed is calling for perseverance in reading the Qur’an, understanding its meanings, and not abandoning it, especially since the reward for reciting the Qur’an is great.
Sheikh Saeed emphasized that the month of Ramadan has Laylat al-Qadr, which is better than a thousand months, so we must strive to win it by reading the Qur’an, especially in the last ten days of Ramadan, which begin today.
