Nahela Morales: I Converted to Islam on Last day of Ramadan, It Is Happiest Day of My Life*

 As part of the daily Ramadan series "Achievers and Contributors", The World Muslim Communities Council organized, on Thursday, April 14, 2022, a virtual presentation during which the Mexican-American Muslim activist, Ms. Nahela Morales, a public speaker from Dallas, Texas, USA, spoke via the Council's social media pages. 



 Nahela Morales said that she converted to Islam in the last days of Ramadan, at the age of thirty, adding that was the happiest day of her life in the presence of more than 300 Muslim sisters in the mosque, especially when they told her that tomorrow is the day of Eid, and that I must to bring my son to rejoice with the children and pray the Eid prayer.


 Morales explained that when she went to the mosque on the day of Eid, it was different and difficult for her, and her son was talking during the Eid prayer and sermon, and she did not know that we should be silent. Mrales said that she did not carry cash with her to buy toys for her son, because people here rarely deal with cash, "but others tried to relieve me that there was another Eid after only two months" she added.


 The Mexican-American activist stressed that pronouncing the two testimonies is the easiest thing in Islam, but Islam is more than that, and it involves other things, where we have to take care of ourselves, our families, our community, besides treating others well, and applying the teachings of the Islam and what our Messenger taught us.


 Morales indicated that they take care of new Muslims, and provide them with all the assistance they need to integrate faster into the Muslim community, such as organizing group breakfasts in Ramadan and educational sessions, stressing that Ramadan is an opportunity to prepare ourselves to set plans and goals and implement them, and we must take advantage of this blessed month in doing good deeds.



 It is noteworthy that The World Muslim Communities Council is an international non-governmental organization, headquartered in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi. It is considered a think tank to rationalize organizations and societies working in Muslim societies, renew their thinking and improve their performance in order to achieve one goal; The integration of Muslim societies in their countries, in a way that their members realize the perfection of citizenship and complete affiliation with the Islamic religion.
