Secretary-General Welcomes President of International Muslim-Christian Committee of Vatican

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Bechari, Secretary-General of The World Muslim Communities Council, welcomed Dr. Nader Akkad, imam of the Great Mosque of Rome and head of the World Muslim-Christian Committee at the Vatican, on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
The two sides discussed the conditions of Muslims in Italy and Europe in general, especially the issues of integration and peaceful coexistence, and cooperation between The Council and institutions with common goals.
At the end of the meeting the two parties exchanged commemorative shields.
