Memorandum of Cooperation Between International Islamic Fiqh Academy and The World Muslim Communities Council

The International Islamic Fiqh Academy and The World Muslim Communities Council concluded a memorandum of cooperation, aimed at cooperation between the two parties in all fields to confront contemporary and emerging issues that arise in Muslim communities that not member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to build bridges of cooperation between them in common areas.
The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of The World Muslim Communities Council, and His Excellency Dr. Koutoub Mustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, at the Council's headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The agreement seeks to enhance cooperation in supporting and assisting Muslim communities, regulating their lives in accordance with the purposes and values of Islam and providing the appropriate fatwas and appropriate fatwas, to achieves the interests of these communities and contributes to their integration in their homelands.
The memorandum of cooperation also aims to organize training courses for muftis, imams, preachers and administrators in Muslim communities to form a new generation of leaders with the tolerant spirit of Islam.
According to the agreement, work will be done to promote the values and culture of dialogue and coexistence to achieve the integration of Muslim communities in their countries, to present the true image of Islam against the culture of Islamophobia, and promotes the values of tolerance and peace.
The two parties agreed to publish and translate contemporary books and research that criticize the phenomenon of religious phobia, hate speech and the contempt against religious and cultural symbols, as well as publishing and translating the books that show the foundations of Islamic Sharia that promoting coexistence.
His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi said, “the Cooperation Agreement between The World Muslim Communities Council and the International Islamic Fiqh Academy comes among our efforts of serving Muslims wherever they are outside the Islamic world.
"In order to achieve the goals upon which The Council and the Academy were founded, in presenting modern fatwas based on jurisprudence that takes into account the circumstances of time and place, efforts were launched to conclude this agreement. There are several initiatives that will result from this agreement, the most prominent of which may be the training of a group of muftis in Muslim communities through courses and activities organized by the Academy, so that we have a database that includes qualified muftis, with knoledge about the culture in which they live and the challenges facing Muslims, so that the fatwa is appropriate for that community", he added.
His Excellency Dr. Koutoub Mustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, expressed his happiness for signing a cooperation agreement with The World Muslim Communities Council, which is a strategic partner for communicating with Muslim communities outside the Islamic world because of its educational and knowledge about Muslim communities, stressing the importance of cooperating with the Council in every issues related to the Muslims communities outside Islamic world.
