Secretary General of TWMCC Receives the President of the Federation of Islamic Institutions in Brazil

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Bechari, Secretary-General of The World Muslim Communities Council, received His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al-Zoghbi, President of the Federation of Islamic Institutions in Brazil, at the Council’s headquarters in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, today, 1 November 2022.
The two parties discussed the future of Islam in Brazil, Latin American countries, and the Caribbean islands, especially after many Muslim children of the third and fourth generations emerged from the political and cultural scenes.
The two parties agreed to work to achieve common goals in intellectual security, societal peace, and cooperation to serve Muslim societies. They also agreed to discuss issues of coexistence, and emphasize the national state, citizenship, and integration, as well as settling the concepts of religious, ethnic, and cultural pluralism, to achieve cooperation and solidarity for the benefit of nations worldwide.
At the end of the meeting, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Bechari and His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al-Zoghbi exchanged commemorative shields.
It is noteworthy that the World Muslim Communities Council is an international non-governmental organisation established on 8 May 2018, based in Abu Dhabi. It includes more than 900 Islamic organisations and institutions from 142 countries. It is considered a house of expertise for rationalising organisations and associations operating in Muslim communities, renewing their thinking, improving their performance, and coordinating among them.
