TWMCC Organizes a Virtual Lecture Entitled "Peaceful Coexistence - Muslim Role in UK"

The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC) organized Thursday, October 20, 2022, a virtual lecture by Sheikh Muhammad Omar Ramadan in the United Kingdom entitled "Peaceful Coexistence - Muslim Role in UK".
Sheikh Muhammad Omar Ramadan in the United Kingdom said that many verses in the Holy Qur’an spoke about union regardless of gender or color. "The Holy Qur’an also focused on diversity and demanded that we get to know each other and coexist among us", he added.
Sheikh Muhammad Omar Ramadan noted that differences of opinions have existed since the beginning of creation, and Muslims must coexist with all opinions within society; pointing out that we are facing the problem of identity and Muslims must understand this. "There should be acceptance between Sunni and Shiite and all affiliations", he affirmed.
Sheikh Muhammad Omar Ramadan stressed that the purposes of Sharia are the middle path that prepares relations between all members of society, and that peaceful coexistence and tolerance with each other is a necessary matter among members of society.
Sheikh Muhammad Omar Ramadan pointed out that Allah emphasized in the Qur’an acquaintance saying, “O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another”.
It is noteworthy that the World Muslim Communities Council is an international non-governmental organisation that was established on 8 May, 2018, and based in Abu Dhabi and includes more than 900 Islamic organisations and institutions from 142 countries. It is considered a house of expertise for rationalising organisations and associations operating in Muslim communities, renewing their thinking, improving their performance, and coordinating among them.
