Head of the World Muslim Communities Council: Bridges of trust and respect must be built between our societies

Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, head of the World Muslim Communities Council, called on Monday to build bridges of trust and respect among our societies and to use new tools to deal with present and future challenges, stressing the need for young people to live with values of tolerance and coexistence.

"The most important thing we need today is empowering young people and activating the role of women," Al-Nuaimi said in his speech during the regular meeting of the strategic vision group "Russia and the Islamic World" in the Republic of Dagestan.

The head of the World Muslim Communities Council stressed that real globalization is to build an individual who respects each other and appreciates coexistence and respects the privacy of the other.

He added: "We need to launch long-term investments in cultural and educational fields."

The "Strategic Vision of Russia and the Islamic World" conference was launched on Monday, in Makhachkala, capital city of the Republic of Dagestan.

The conference will discuss the prospects for cooperation between Russia and Islamic countries to confront the threats, as well as the specific proposals in order to improve the efficiency of joint coordination between Russia and Islamic countries in the field of awareness and education programs.
