The Guests of the First Global Forum for Youth of Muslim Communities have attended a Youth Circle in the Founder’s Memorial

The guests of the first global forum for Youth of Muslim Communities have  participated in a youth circle in the Founder’s Memorial in Abu Dhabi, on the sidelines of their participation in this forum on its first day.

The panel discussion witnessed interventions, dialogues and presentation of some experiences within the Muslim communities around the world, along with highlighting the paradigms of religious coexistence and the mechanisms for promoting it by establishing the values of goodness, tolerance and good citizenship, provided that they don’t conflict with the requirements of religion.


It is worth noting that the youth circles are one of the initiatives of the Federal Youth Authority that was launched by H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God preserve him, to inspire youth-centric dialogue across a variety of areas for sustainable engagement with Youth to shape innovative solutions for global challenges with the help of policy makers.

H. E. Dr. Youssef Abdullah Al-Obaidli, General Manager of the Founder's Memorial, welcomed the attendees and indicated that this important place in Abu Dhabi represents the immortal vision of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founder of the United Arab Emirates, may his soul rest in peace, and through which we identify the human leader, who contribute to promoting peace and tolerance nationwide and worldwide as well.

Al-Obaidli pointed out the expertise of religious coexistence experienced by the UAE, and the noble values ​​laid down by the Founder Father, where this Memorial symbolizes a prominent national, cultural and tourist landmark that stands for the Emirates heritage and future with a wise vision.


At the end of the session, the delegation got acquainted, through a cultural tour in the Memorial, with the unique characteristics of the late founding father, and they were introduced to the Constellation, a monumental public artwork featuring a dynamic three-dimensional portrait of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, that can be viewed from multiple vantage points around the Memorial.

This tour also enabled them to get familiarized with the love and passion of Sheikh Zayed, may his soul rest in peace, for nature and his deep commitment to preserving the environment, reflected in the “Heritage Park”, which includes various types of trees and plants that are considered an integral part of the rich natural environment in the United Arab Emirates and the Arabian Peninsula.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation toured the “walkway” to reflect on the memorable words of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, which are full of wisdom that in turn inspires generations and demonstrates his noble values ​​both as a leader and a human being.


Today, the World Muslim Communities Council organized the first global forum for youth of Muslim communities in Abu Dhabi under the title, “Building Future Leaders: Commitment, Integrity and Innovation.”

The forum is a platform that brings together community leaders, scholars, activists, artists, entrepreneurs and innovators to share, deliberate and envision new strategies, approaches and programs for leadership development among young Muslims worldwide.
