HE Dr Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, visited the pavilion of The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC) at the 2026 Beijing International Book Fair, underscoring the importance of cultural engagement and intellectual exchange at one of the world’s leading publishing and knowledge platforms.

The visit was attended by HE Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, alongside a number of officials and members of the UAE diplomatic delegation.

During the tour, HE Dr Al Darei explored the Council’s latest publications and intellectual works, which showcase themes of tolerance, moderation, and enlightened Islamic thought.

The publications reflect TWMCC’s ongoing commitment to advancing civilizational dialogue, strengthening cultural and knowledge exchange, and promoting the values of coexistence, mutual respect, and understanding among communities worldwide.

TWMCC’s participation in the 2026 Beijing International Book Fair forms part of the “UAE House” pavilion, coinciding with the United Arab Emirates’ designation as the Guest of Honour at the 32nd edition of the fair, a recognition that highlights the deep cultural ties between the UAE and China and the UAE’s growing role in fostering global cultural dialogue.
