- With hearts resigned to the will of Allah and souls at peace with His divine decree, His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC), extends his deepest condolences to the people of Indonesia and the global academic community on the passing of the distinguished scholar, Professor Dr. Amal Fathullah Zarkasyi, Rector of Universitas Darussalam Gontor. May Allah grant him His vast mercy
- With his passing, the Islamic Ummah loses a visionary educator and profound thinker who dedicated his life to the pursuit of knowledge and the nurturing of future generations. He was instrumental in building institutions that harmonized classical tradition with contemporary openness, bridging profound scholarship with practical wisdom. Dr. Zarkasyi embodied the ideal of the scholar-practitioner, steadfast in his belief that the progress of nations is rooted in moral integrity, an awakened conscience, and a commitment to service
