Dr. Mohamed Bechari Discusses Strengthening Muslim Presence and Centennial Celebration Preparations with Poland’s Grand Mufti

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Bechari, Secretary-General of the World Muslim Communities Council, received today, Wednesday, 14 May 2025, His Eminence Tomasz Miśkiewicz, the Grand Mufti of the Republic of Poland and President of the Supreme Council of the Muslim Religious Union.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation in serving the issues of the Muslim presence in Poland, supporting religious and educational institutions, and promoting the integration of Muslims within Polish society, in a manner that upholds national values and cultural cohesion.
The discussions also covered the ongoing preparations for the centennial celebration of the founding of the Muslim Religious Union in Poland, scheduled for the end of June, which is expected to witness broad official and public participation to honor a century of Islamic presence in Poland.
