- 2024-Dec-24
The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC) organised an online lecture under the theme "Peaceful Coexistence among Social Components," delivered by Sheikh Nour Al-Din Taweel, a Belgian imam and Preacher, as part of TWMCC's lecture series.
During the lecture, Sheikh Nour Al-Din emphasised that coexistence is one of the main reasons for fostering understanding and communication among peoples and tribes worldwide. He highlighted that Belgian society serves as a rich model of religious, cultural, and ethnic diversity.
Sheikh Taweel stressed that coexistence reflects the noble message of Islam, which advocates kindness to others and support for those we live with in our communities. He underscored the importance of Muslims setting a good example through their actions and morals, being equipped with modern knowledge, and striving to be ambassadors of Islam through positive behavior.
He also pointed out that Muslims should actively participate in sports and social activities with openness and cooperation with all segments of society, promoting mutual understanding and societal harmony.
TWMCC is an international non-governmental organisation that serves as a think tank. It supports Muslim community organisations and associations by helping them renew their vision, improving their performance, and coordinating among them.
