Alina Abdul Rahim: Fasting is a Universal Behaviour and the World has Confirmed that it is Good for Health

On Thursday, 20 April 2023, The World Muslim Communities Council organised a virtual lecture by Dr. Alina Abdul Rahim, Associate professor, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Sains Islam, Malaysia, as part of the series of Ramadan lectures organised by TWMCC under the title 'Food Science & Ethics for Green Ramadan'

And 'Abdul Rahim' added that green is a pleasing colour for the eyes and reminds us of the life of the Prophet (PBUH), noting that the green colour was Prophet Muhammad's favourite, who represents humanity, as Allah says in the Quran: 'We have sent you ˹O Prophet˺ only as a mercy for the whole world'
Associate professor, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Sains Islam, Malaysia, explained that the Messenger (PBUH) represents sustainability, and we follow his Sunnah, so there is no difference between the rich and the poor
Abdul Rahim said that fasting is a universal behaviour and the world has confirmed that it is good for health and diet, stressing that fasting Ramadan increases good deeds and rewards, and while fasting we do many supererogatory acts that bring us closer to Allah
