Dr. Salim Alwan: Ramadan.. Whiffs of Faith and Mental Benefits

Among the daily Ramadan lectures, The World Muslim Communities Council organized, on Saturday May , 2021, a lecture entitled "Whiffs of Ramadan", in which Dr. Salim Alwan, Secretary General of DarulFatwa in Australia, spoke via the Council's social media


Dr. Salim Alwan said that Allah Almighty gives Ramadan with virtues that are not found in other months, as the gates of heaven are opened during it, and the gates of fire are closed, and the devils are restricted. "In Ramadan the Qur’an was revealed to our master Prophet, and the Qadr Night came during it, which is a night better than a thousand months". Dr. Salim Alwan enumerated many of features that characterize the holy month of Ramadan, in which souls are refined, morals elevated, as it is month for reflection, contemplation and moderation, in which the spirit exalts and faiths increase. He pointed out that in Ramadan the divine gifts increase so the reward of the fasting. The smell of mouth of the fasting person is more good for Allah from the musk, just as fasting is a protection for us from the Hell on the Day of Resurrection. Dr. Salim Alwan added that the "fasting person has two joys, the joy when he breaks his fast, and the joy of when he meeting his Lord". He also pointed out that Zakat Al-Fitr is purification for the fasting person, and food for the needy. It is noteworthy that the World Muslim Communities Council is an international non-governmental organization, headquartered in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi. It is considered a think tank to rationalize organizations and societies working in Muslim societies, renew their thinking and improve their performance in order to achieve one goal; The integration of Muslim societies in their countries, in a way that their members realize the perfection of citizenship and complete affiliation with the Islamic religion.
