The World Muslim Communities Council participates in the conference "Islam is a message of compassion and peace" in Russia

The activities of the conference “Islam is a message of compassion and peace “ was launched with the participation of the World Muslim Communities Council in the two Russian cities, Moscow and Grozny. This conference has been organized by the religious administration of Chechen Muslims in cooperation with the Islamic World League and the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), office of the President of Russia.

The conference will be focusing on four main themes from 28 to 30 March 2019.

The first theme is "The Pillar of peaceful Coexistence in Islam", which presents "the humanitarian objectives of the Prophet's mission, the Muslims and the community of compassion, human relations in multi-faith societies, religious values and ethnic and religious conflicts."

The second theme is entitled "Muslims of Russia and the Peaceful Society ". It is about the Islamic presence in Russia in the past and the present, the contribution of Russian Muslims in achieving coexistence, the future of religious coexistence in Russia and its prospects, and the contribution of the muftis and religious administrations to peace and coexistence.

The third theme discusses the issue of "terrorism and extremism", the relationship between religions and terrorism, terrorism and the message of Islam, the phenomenon of violence in the name of religion, terrorist organizations and suspicious relations.

The fourth theme deals with the issue of "Muslims and cohabitation of civilizations", which discusses the topics of mutual humanity and mutual interests towards an effective treatment of international problems and crises, relations between Russia and the Islamic world, Islamophobia and counter-violence.
