- 2025-Nov-05
The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC) is
participating in the Sharjah International Book Fair 2025, held from November 5
to 16 at the Expo Centre Sharjah, with the participation of numerous cultural
and intellectual institutions from around the world.
At its pavilion, the Council presents 49 publications in
Arabic, English, Malay, Indonesian, Filipino, and Hindi, all of which reflect
the values of moderation, tolerance, and human coexistence, and contribute to
strengthening cultural communication among peoples.
The pavilion also showcases the works of H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid
Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the World Muslim Communities Council, translated into
eight global languages. These works address contemporary intellectual issues,
highlight the enlightened image of Islam, and promote constructive dialogue
among cultures and religions.
- Among the notable publications featured by the Council is
the book “Architecture, Arts, and Islamic Cultures in Southeast Asia,” which
explores educational approaches and public discourse in the region, the role of
Islamic education as a key element in the school systems of Malaysia and
Indonesia, and the distinctive Islamic architecture and mosques in these
countries.
The Council also highlights the book “Matriarchal Islam:
Female-Centered Societies in Al-Andalus and Beyond,” which examines historical
Arab matriarchal communities, the migrations from the Arabian Peninsula to
North Africa and their cultural impact, and the significant role of women
during those historical periods.
This participation comes as part of the Council’s ongoing
efforts to promote shared human values, spread the principles of moderation and
coexistence, and build open and aware Muslim societies that contribute
positively to serving humanity.
