TWMCC Features Distinguished Chinese-Language Publications at Beijing International Book Fair

  • 2025-Jun-18

The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC) is participating in the 31st edition of the Beijing International Book Fair 2025, held from 18 to 22 June at the China National Convention Centre, as part of the official UAE pavilion.

TWMCC's booth received several high-level visits, most notably from HE Hussain Al Hammadi, UAE Ambassador to the People's Republic of China; HE Mubarak Al Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture; and HE Dr. Ali Bin Tamim, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC). The delegation reviewed TWMCC’s latest Chinese-language publications, including the prominent "Life in Islam and Service to the Nation: The Contribution of Muslims to Administration, Economy, and Social Life in China". The book explores the profound historical presence of indigenous Muslim communities in China across four chapters addressing political, economic, and social dimensions.

TWMCC’s participation also features the "Bridges of Localisation in Japan, Korea and China", which highlights the roles of Muslim women as leaders, scholars, writers, mediators, and bridge-builders—beyond their traditional roles as mothers and wives. The book is structured in three chapters.

Another featured title is "Localising the State and Society for Southeast Asian Muslims", which examines how Muslim communities interact with their respective nation-states, and the role of both state structures and societal conditions in supporting their integration and stability.

TWMCC’s presence at the Beijing International Book Fair 2025 aims to enrich knowledge among Chinese-speaking readers, advance the Council’s mission to promote shared human values, and foster dialogue and mutual understanding among diverse religions and cultures.
