The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC) successfully concluded its participation in the second edition of "Building Bridges between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects" conference, held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The conference's final statement emphasised the importance of respecting Islamic diversity and adhering to the ethics of disagreement while rejecting takfir (excommunication) and sectarian strife.

It stressed the need to strengthen brotherhood and solidarity among the peoples of the Islamic nation. Additionally, the "Building Bridges Between Islamic Sects" document, consisting of 28 articles, was adopted as a fundamental reference for joint Islamic efforts.

Participants also announced the adoption of the "Encyclopedia of Islamic Intellectual Consensus," prepared by the Intellectual Property Protection Centre in Saudi Arabia, and committed to promoting it in academic circles and international forums.

Furthermore, an annual award was launched to honour institutions and individuals contributing to the document’s objectives.

The conference warned against the dangers of media polemics that fuel discord and incite fanaticism, calling for a balanced discourse that promotes unity and coexistence.

Participants also commended the efforts of the Muslim World League in drafting the document and transforming it into practical programmes and strategic partnerships that foster rapprochement and integration within the Islamic nation
