With Distinguished Publications.. TWMCC Participates in the 41st Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) 2024

The World Muslim Communities Council is participating in the 41st Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) 2024 in Malaysia, from 24 May to 2 June 2024.


During KLIBF, TWMCC is showcasing several of its distinguished publications, which aim to enrich the minds of readers. This is part of the TWMCC's ongoing efforts to promote common human values and spread the principles of moderation, tolerance, dialogue, and coexistence among different religions and cultures. These publications include:


-   'Southeast Asian Islam: Architecture, Arts and New Cultures', written by Dr. Azmil Tayeb, Associate Professor at Universiti Sains Malaysia; Dr. Robert Hillenbrand from the University of Edinburgh; and Dr. Tutin Aryanti from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI).


-   'Bridges of Indigenization in Japan, Korea and China', written by Dr. Yuki Shiozaki; Dr. Lee Hee Soo; and Dr. Jing Wang from the University of Pennsylvania.


-   'Southeast Asian Islam: Indigenized Theology and Jurisprudence', written by Dr. Carool Kersten from St. Kevin's College London; Dr. Ismail Alatas from New York University; and Dr. R. Michael Feener from Kyoto University, Japan.


-   'Localisation of State & Society for Muslims in Southeast Asia', written by Muhamad Ali from the University of California; Dr. Uwais Nour Al Wati; Nina Mariani Noor from UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta; Dr. Khairudin Aljunied from Georgetown University; and Dr. Anthony Reid from the Australian National University.


KLIBF is a cultural, intellectual, and entertainment event, as well as a global cultural forum where authors and creative individuals gather to discuss all aspects of cultural affairs.


TWMCC is an international non-governmental organisation that serves as a think tank. It supports Muslim community organisations and associations by helping them to improve their operations, collaborate effectively, and adopt innovative approaches.
