Advisor to Uzbek President Receives TWMCC Delegation in Tashkent

HE Muzaffar Kamilov, Advisor to Uzbek President, received a delegation from The World Muslim Communities Council, during an official visit to the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, where both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Council.
During the visit, TWMCC's delegation toured a number of religious and academic institutions, including International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Imam Maturidi International Scientific Research Centre, Islamic Civilisation Centre, and Imam Al Bukhari Islamic Institute, in addition to a number of prominent Islamic landmarks in Uzbekistan.
Furthermore, the delegation met with HE Sadiq Sharipov, Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs, and His Eminence Sheikh Dr Nur Al-Din Khaliq Nazr, Head of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, who accompanied the delegation on a tour inside the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan's Fatwa Centre.
TWMCC's delegation also met with HE Uzbek Minister of Education, and visited a number of religious schools and universities in Uzbekistan.
TWMCC is an international non-governmental organization that functions as a think tank. It supports Muslim community organizations and associations by helping them improve their operations, collaborate effectively, and adopt innovative approaches.
