TWMCC Chairman Meets with the Vice Chairman of the ‘Russia - Islamic World Group of Strategic Vision’ in Moscow
HE Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC), met with Senator Farit Mukhametshin, Vice Chairman of the Russia - Islamic World Group of Strategic Vision, in Moscow, on the sidelines of HE’s participation in the 19th World Islamic Forum, which is being held in the Russian capital, Moscow, under the patronage of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Russia, from 11 to 13 December.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed several issues on the forum’s agenda, in addition to activating bilateral cooperation to serve Muslim communities, discussing issues of coexistence, and emphasising the national state, citizenship, and integration, as well as localising the concepts of religious, ethnic, and cultural pluralism, in a way that achieves cooperation and solidarity for the benefit of nations around the world.
They also discussed ways to formulate scientific, academic, economic and rehabilitation programmes to confront extremist ideology and hate speech, in a way that is consistent with the circumstances of members of Muslim communities in the countries in which they live, and strive to enhance the positive role of Muslims in various parts of the world.
TWMCC is an international non-governmental organisation, and a think tank to help organisations and associations working in Muslim communities, renew their thinking, improve their performance, and coordinate their joint work.
