The Council Organizes Virtual Lecture: "Arabic Calligraphy and Islamic Faith"*

 On Sunday, September 11, 2022, The World Muslim Communities Council organized a virtual lecture, where Ghalamdin Wang Qifei, an Arabic calligrapher from China spoke under the title "Arabic Calligraphy and Islamic Faith."



 Ghalamdin said that he went to the mosque to learn about Arabic calligraphy, but after going to the mosque several times, he decided to convert to Islam.


 Qifei added that after converting to Islam, he traveled to several countries to receive Islamic sciences and arts, and joined Al-Azhar University, where he was taught by the great calligrapher, Sayyid Khaled, and also learned the Kufic calligraphy.


 The Chinese calligrapher explained that he received an award in Islamic calligraphy in 2011, and a certificate of appreciation from the Islamic Art Center for Arabic Calligraphy, stressing that during the current period he studies Arabic and Islamic calligraphy in many schools, and is keen to spread Arabic calligraphy among his friends in China.


 The World Muslim Communities Council is an international non-governmental organization that was established on May 8, 2018 in Abu Dhabi. It includes more than 900 Islamic organizations and institutions from 142 countries. It is a think tank for helping organizations and associations operating in Muslim communities, renewing their thinking, improving their performance, and coordinating it's joint work.
