TWMCC Secretary-General Receives Former Moroccan Minister of Justice

HE Dr Mohamed Bechari, Secretary-General of The World Muslim Communities Council, has received HE Mohamed Aujjar, Former Moroccan Minister of Justice, President of Al Shorouk Centre for Democracy, Media and Human Rights and Member of Supreme Council of Audiovisual Communication, at the council's headquarters in UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, today, Tuesday, 11 October 2022.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the mechanism for enhancing cooperation to serve Muslim communities, in addition to issues of coexistence, emphasising the national state, citizenship and integration, as well as settling the concepts of religious, ethnic and cultural pluralism, to achieve cooperation and solidarity for the benefit of nations around the world.
Both sides have also discussed ways to formulate scientific, academic and rehabilitation programmes, to confront extremism and isolationism through hard work. This aims to achieve contemporary jurisprudence within the tolerant Islamic Sharia, and in line with Muslim communities’ people conditions in the countries, they live in, as well as seeking to enhance the positive role of Muslims in various places in the world.
At the end of the meeting, HE Dr Mohamed Bechari, Secretary-General of The World Muslim Communities Council, and HE Mohamed Aujjar, Former Moroccan Minister of Justice, exchanged commemorative shields.
The World Muslim Communities Council is an international non-governmental organisation, that was established on 8 May 2018 in Abu Dhabi. It includes more than 900 Islamic organisations and institutions from 142 countries. It is a think tank for helping organisations and associations operating in Muslim communities, renew their thinking, improve their performance, and coordinate their joint work.
