
TWMCC Delegation Meets Representatives of Xinjiang Islamic Association to Discuss Joint Cooperation

A delegation from The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC), headed by Chairman HE Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, has met with representatives of the Islamic Association of Xinjiang, headed by Chairman HE Abdureqip Tumulniyaz, in the presence of several of its prominent members.
The meeting took place as part of TWMCC’s delegation’s visit to Xinjiang Province in China, which aims to strengthen cooperation with religious, intellectual, and academic institutions.
The meeting discussed a number of topics related to enhancing cooperation between the Council and the Association, as well as building strategic partnerships with religious and academic institutions in China, in a way that contributes to developing joint programmes serving Muslim communities.
Both sides emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation in education and training, institutional knowledge exchange, and supporting initiatives that promote the values of moderation, tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and shared living.
During the meeting, HE Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi emphasised the TWMCC’s commitment to building strong relations with educational, cultural, and religious institutions in China, noting that such meetings reflect the Council’s responsibility to consolidate bridges of cooperation and create common platforms for dialogue and knowledge exchange.
He also praised the efforts of the Islamic Association of Xinjiang in fostering national belonging among Muslims in China and in promoting values of peace and tolerance that strengthen social stability and unity.
For his part, HE Abdureqip Tumulniyaz highlighted the Association’s key activities, underscoring its role in overseeing and managing mosques, developing religious education curricula, and its ongoing efforts to spread a culture of coexistence among different community groups.
He also underlined the Association’s work in reinforcing the noble Islamic values of peace and harmony, enhancing national identity, and implementing programmes and initiatives to promote religious awareness—particularly supporting youth through solid educational and training initiatives.
