The World Muslim Communities Council  (TWMCC) strongly condemns the terrorist attack that took place in the city of Boulder, in the US state of Colorado, which resulted in a number of injuries. TWMCC expresses its deep denunciation of such criminal acts that target innocent people and threaten the safety and stability of societies.

TWMCC affirms its absolute rejection of all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism, regardless of their motives or backgrounds. TWMCC emphasises that such crimes fall within the framework of the escalating hate speech that threatens the principles of coexistence and tolerance among peoples.

In this context, TWMCC calls on the international community and relevant institutions to criminalise hate speech and incitement to violence in all its forms, and to intensify efforts to combat extremism and promote a culture of dialogue and mutual respect, in a way that ensures the protection of social peace and preserves human dignity.

TWMCC expresses its wishes for a speedy recovery to all the injured and reaffirms its commitment to its global humanitarian mission of promoting the values of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among religions and cultures.
