  • 2025-May-15

The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC) is participating at the annual meeting of the “Russia – Islamic World” strategic vision group, scheduled to be held in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation, on 15-16 May, under the theme “Experience of Russia and Islamic World Countries in Youth Policies: Shared Challenges and Joint Efforts.”

TWMCC is represented at this event by a high-level delegation, which is also participating at the “Russia–Islamic World: KazanForum” International Economic Forum, running on 13-18 May, featuring government leaders, representatives of international organisations, and experts in economics, education, and youth policies from across the Islamic world and Russia.

TWMCC’s participation reflects its commitment to strengthening institutional communication and multilateral cooperation between Muslim communities and friendly countries, by supporting initiatives that serve youth, empower them to play active roles in their societies, and engage in sustainable development paths within a comprehensive vision based on dialogue, mutual understanding, and international cooperation.

Kazan Forum is considered one of the most prominent international platforms bringing together Russia and the member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). It aims to expand economic partnerships and enhance cultural and scientific relations through a series of initiatives and activities that address the development priorities of both sides.

“Russia – Islamic World” strategic vision group serves as an institutional framework that brings together intellectual and religious figures from both sides. It acts as an effective tool to transform this cooperation into tangible initiatives through action programmes that focus on key issues, particularly education, youth, intercultural dialogue, and academic exchange.

TWMCC’s participation stems from its strategic vision that prioritises youth at the global Islamic action, considering them the primary drivers of the future and a vital force for the advancement and stability of societies.

In this regard, TWMCC reaffirms its full support for all initiatives that strengthen the presence of Muslim youth globally and open broader horizons for their participation in decision-making, as well as enhance their role in promoting the values of coexistence, peace, and tolerance, within a framework that balances identity with openness to others.
