TWMCC Condemns Terrorist Attack on Mosque in Southeastern France

The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC) strongly condemned the brutal terrorist attack that took place inside a mosque in the municipality of "La Grand-Combe" in the "Gard" region in southeastern France, which resulted in the death of a Muslim man after being repeatedly stabbed by an extremist.
TWMCC expressed its deep concern over the growing number of extremist terrorist attacks targeting innocent people and peaceful communities. It reiterated its call for the adoption of an effective and comprehensive international strategy to combat hate speech and extremism, criminalising such acts, and curbing extremist movements, to protect the lives of innocent people and ensure the safety and stability of communities.
While condemning this heinous assault, TWMCC extends its heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to the family of the victim, praying that Allah, the Almighty, grants him His vast mercy and that He grants patience and solace to his family and loved ones.
